ARTists Response --- THIS IS OUR LIVES! is an art and music event at the First Lutheran Church on Friday June 27, 2025 from 7PM to 9PM with a reception following. The show will feature visual artists, photographers, and performances responding to the current political climate. The participating artists will be presenting their own State of the Union answers to Race, Gender Rights, Black History, and Funding for the Arts (view Dorothy Annette's statement on this video page). ARTists response is curated by author and playwright Bil Wright with artist and musician Bill Engel. ARTists Response is presented by Music & Arts at 3rd and Ash Music & Arts Ministry.

Participating artists and performers in the ARTists Response show are Dorothy Annette, David Alvarez, Donna Woods, Becket Logan, Yvette Deas, Portia Gregory, Frank DeLouise, Ron Christopher Jones (Production Manager, San Diego Musical Theatre), Bill Radatz, Kenny Ha, Kailey Madoka Agpaoa, Michael Ruy, Analiese Christenson, Lee Silk, Emily Nowland, Kailey Madoka Agpaoa, Evanis Hart, Jena Joyce, Mounarath Powell Dance, and a quintet from MLK Jr. Choir.


Roy Sekigahama and Bil Wright will be premiering readings of new short plays. Also present will be speaker Dr. Mary Ann Horton, author of Trailblazer: Lighting the Path for Transgender Equality in Corporate America: A Memoir.


Refreshments will be provided. A donation of $15 is suggested; however, any amount will be gladly accepted.


The First Lutheran Church of San Diego is located at 1420 Third Avenue.
